Thermal Lancing
This process, along with exothermic air slice is the only method for extracting seized pins, shafts, fitted bolts etc.
It does destroy the pin but the hole is undamaged. We can safely cut out any pin in any position, at any height above the ground. A seized 100 mm diamater pin 400 mm long once sliced and quenched with a water hose, will shrink 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm. This amount of shrinkage allows the pin to be withdrawn by hand. Other size pins will vary, but they will always shrink. New pins can be manufactured by us and supplied. The smallest pin that can be safely cut is 25mm, with no maximum size for diamater or length.
